| I am honored to learn that I have received Professional Development funding through the Kentucky Arts Council. This funding will allow me to complete Phase Two of the original plans for my kiln complex by building a soda fired kiln behind the wood kiln that was completed in 2007. | I am pleased to be taking part in the Kentucky Arts Council newly formed focus group. The focus group is comprised of eleven artists of varying mediums. The group will be addressing the specific area of product development. |

| "THE MARK OF GREAT ART" |

| I have been selected to participate in "The Mark of Great Art" program for Maker's Mark. I will be making 3 pieces of artwork which will be on display at the distillery as well as in a virtual on-line gallery show. The artist whose artwork receives the most votes will be awarded a monetary bonus. After the showing and voting, all the artwork will be shipped around the world to seven different cities, including London, Madrid, and New York. For each event, local media will be invited, bartenders will create signature cocktails, and comsumer Ambassadors will come to see the artist's interpretation of Maker's Mark. At that time, the artwork will be placed in bars throughout each city where they will be displayed. Please go to www.themarkofgreatart.com to vote beginning September 5-17, 2008. |

| The show with Heine Brothers Coffee Houses and Kaviar Forge and Gallery will
take place October 2 through the December holidays. Each participant will have 3 dozen mugs for sale and display in the gallery and Heine Brother locations. |

| 'HOLIDAZZLE 2008" |

| The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will host the "Holidazzle" annual exhibition beginning October 25-December 27, 2008. This year's show features work by Kentucky artist and also fine craftspeople from across the U.S. A variety of contemporary craft that encourages collecting and gift buying will be featured. Holidazzle will be on view in the Steve Wilson Gallery, 715 West Main Street, Louisville, Kentucky. I will have two pieces from the most recent wood firing in July. |
